The Absolute Best of the Decade

Post by JSchlansky »

I put together a giant award show covering this past decade's total cinematic output. I cover all the major Oscar categories and add a bunch of my own like best action, best horror, best good/bad, etc. It's super long so feel free to break up your watching into smaller chunks and definitely let me know which of my picks made you want to punch me in the face. This video would've been here two weeks ago if not for YouTube's broken content ID system.

If you want to add any of the films nominated to your watchlists, I've put them all into an IMDb list

Aye, yes she could have easily won for Tyrannosaur from me as well. I tried not doing double nomination (couldn't help that with Joaquin). Also, Tilda could have easily been nominated for multiple performances, that was tough to choose just one.

Jake Gyllenhaal - Nightcrawler
Ethan Hawke - First Reformed

Best Actress:
TILDA SWINTON - WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN

very weird seeing the decade filtered on my ratings like that.

Koreeda's "Our Little Sister" and Anderson ("Moonrise"&"Budapest") are my favourite things. Along with Twin Peaks.

and "Melancholia" was like a haunting

"Under The Skin". for that soundtrack mostly. and her gaze.

----
these i was not supposed to like (yet massively did)~~

the double
cosmopolis
berberian sound studio
personal shopper

(lots i've yet to see) (should re-watch Kevin)
