Saw late night, comedy central, early 2000's

The movie is about a guy, short, chubby loser type, think Dan Fogler, who gets the chance to star in, and possible direct a big Hollywood film. Remember a couple of scenes. One, he has a sex scene, but it is decided they will use a stunt butt. Leading lady is a smoke show so he is disappointed. Later finds out that the two actors actually had sex during the scene and they just went with it and filmed it. The other scene i remember is the ending, where he is riding in a limo to the premier and is standing out of the sun roof. Have been trying to find this for years. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm recalling similar scenes in Bowfinger, but it doesn't match your description of the character.
