Filthycritic isn't bad, but if you look though his reviews in the action/adventure genre he gives basically every superhero movie (with only like 1 or 2 exceptions) a score of 2. It's pretty obvious he just isn't into the genre in general. So on that point I would say if you aren't into superhero films, he is pretty spot on, but if you are, filthycritic is probably not the best source of a review.

Re: The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
So sue me, I liked it. Loved it, in fact. Love the entire concept of the MCU. Tying together a bunch of movies into one franchise, and then connecting it to several television series? Yeah, that sounds like a great hobby to me. Now I'm emotionally invested. Are we going to see more Black Widow cleavage in Civil War? Is Natalie Portman going to be so fucking hot in an Avengers movie eventually? Is a villain going to survive past the length of a single feature? Will the television characters ever do anything that impacts the movies, or only vice versa?
Man, and the sexual innuendo potty humor in this film? Great! Love me some dick jokes in a way only completely heterosexual men would. Chuckled through the entire movie.
And can anyone complain about James Spader's voice talents? Ultron was AWESOME! Wish they wouldn't just kill off the cool villains.
And while it did set up other films in the franchise (Klaw and Wakanda, Cap v. Iron Man, other things I missed, Thor 3) I certainly didn't feel like the movie was just a placeholder. It's a series of connected films. Yeah, it refers to things that happened in other movies, and it throws out some plot hooks that can be used in future films. Just like a good DnD adventure is just a part of an overarching campaign. Shit, dudes. The basic plot since the first Captain America has been about infinity stones, and you can't tell me the characters haven't slowly developed over the course of the films. This isn't the fucking Godfather or the Shawshank Redemption or some shit, just a bunch of heavily muscled dudes beating the shit out of things in a bloodless manner while tits almost fall out of costumes. Can we not just enjoy it for what it is?

The action was so dull. There were parts where one character would jump off screen and it would cut to them landing, like their superpower is Final Cut Pro. It's just a clusterfuck of identical robots getting shot with arrows. I'd have rather seen a whole movie that was just the party at the beginning.

Should've gone into the next theater and washed you mind out with F&F7. Would only have taken a few seconds. Are you one of those guys who laughs his ass off all through a "fun" movie, and is the only one?

You are the dumbest motherfucker in the entire world. Maybe I'll wash it out by taking a page from your book and watching action movies like Gone with the Wind and Annie Hall.

True enough. However, Filthy is also way more into superhero films than I am. (Although I did like The Dark Knight and Super among movies released within the last decade)

Sorry, dude. By my standards, both the muscles and tits are way too small and puny. 1/10

Another ad hominem attack followed by more false assertions based on unfounded assumptions in an overall performance that would have to be jacked up 5 miles to be upgraded to "Lame". You need to learn to control your emotions there son, and hell, if you did that, you might accidentally see the light.
You're welcome

I'm like the Hulk; my emotions are out of control unless titties get in my way!! And it's not an ad hominem attack; that's used in the context of a debate. It was a flat-out insult, because I think you are a gigantic idiot. You conjure the people you disagree with as strawmen who look at nude pictures of Vin Diesel, then go off on tangents about how A Clockwork Orange and Fight Club are action movies before calling it "typical" when people are confused by your bullshit. And "see the light"? Did you forget to call me a dirty liberal who worships the lamestream media, too? It seesaws between idiotic and condescending, often both.
I'll take Furious 7 over Avengers 2 any day of the week, and even days not part of the week. The action is clear enough to actually know what's happening, the humor beats work often enough (the best Avengers 2 is "watch your language"? Did they use a rejected Three's Company script?) and there was, most of all, a sense of fun, rather than gloomy scenes in darkly lit rooms about forced sterilization, followed by massacring an army of identical cartoon robots in Parmistan.
It's one thing to not enjoy Furious 7, even if it's for reasons you seem to have made up out of nowhere. But to praise Avengers 2 for serving the same purpose as a movie and getting everything you could possibly compare wrong -- that's where I call you an idiot. At this point, it's not just a gross misunderstanding of what an action movie is, but utter hypocrisy.

I haven't seen either so I can't weight in on which of you is correct, but yes, F7 and A2 absolutely occupy the same genre niche. Big, mindless, CGI-heavy franchise blockbusters.
Obviously, I differ with you on how I perceive Stewie; I genuinely enjoy him a lot. His bizarre posts only add to his charm. Plus, he benefits this forum if only because he starts so many movie topics and other posts.
At the same time, your last two posts have been highly mocking and insulting, which pleasantly reminds me of myself. So you're growing in my affections, too.

Re: The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Scarlett Johansson is one of those chicks that looks better almost naked than she does completely naked. If I were to fuck Scar Jo, I'd probably prefer it if she dressed like a barmaid at a renaissance fair and just pulled her bloomers down. At least the first time.
I see a big difference between Avengers and Furious 7. Avengers knows that it's playing comedy, and even when shit gets a little deep, it's just a small break before they start making penis jokes again. Furious 7 swings way too heavy from one side to the other. One moment you're like, "Ha! That's funny." and the next you're like, "Huh, that's kinda depressing/lame/melodramatic" and then something happens and you're like, "Wait, funny again? Or... just over-the-top macho man shit? Am I supposed to be laughing now or still feeling depressed?"
Also the writing was better in the Avengers. So many penis jokes.
