Late to the MOM party, how does this work exactly? Everyone nominates films from a list and then tries to see them over the month?

My picks:

Art/Acclaimed:
The Baker's Wife (1938)
The Murderers Are Among Us (1946)
The Last Valley (1970)
Man of the Century (1999)
Munyurangabo (2007)

B-Movie/Niche Genre:
The Return of Doctor X (1939)
Infra-Man (1975)
The Lathe of Heaven (1980)
Deadbeat at Dawn (1988)
Cursed (2004)

Short Film:
The '?' Motorist (1906)
Phillips Broadcast of 1938 (1938)
Copy Shop (2001)
Over Time (2005)
Tyger (2006)

I'd also like to point out that while I may not have time to participate (school's starting back next week), I'll do my best mostly because I deeply appricipate Hopscotch's effort to keep the MOM threads alive. Awesome work man, thanks.

thanks for filling me in. I'm gonna refrain from voting this time out since I've never heard of any of the films on offer (and don't really have time to research them)...but I'll certainly try to watch the MOM for August once they've been decided...I like the idea of the thread.

I have never heard of any of those films so based mainly on PSIs I will vote for:

Anne of 1000 Days
Man of the Century

Deadbeat at Dawn

Over Time
Two Cars, One Night
Struck

Some of the films in the collection look pretty bad (all red scores); just wondering why they are in there. Surely the MOM would have more keen participants if the films have largely green reviews, or at least a mixed bag.
