Tarantino has a pretty unique taste in films, that can't be denied and is no reason to chastise him. Even if there are some pretty bad picks in there . But I haven't seen all of his and probably will eventually. I look forward to the best of the decade lists much more than this, though. Here's mine according to my rankings.
1. Inland Empire
2. Dead Man
2. Eyes Wide Shut
3. Children of Men
3. Chungking Express
3. Dark City
3. Lost in Translation
3. Mulholland Drive
3. Synecdoche, New York
3. There Will Be Blood
3. The Thin Red Line
3. Werckmeister Harmonies
4. 2046
4. The New World
4. Requiem for a Dream
4. Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... And Spring
4. Y Tu Mamá También
5. Collateral
5. Memento

I'm not gonna post mine cuz who really cares, but I'll say Tarantino's list seems personal and that's all you can ask. It would be nice to hear him chatter about his picks, but he just kind of lists them off paired with boring adjectives.

i agree. the most interesting part of video was listening to the battle royale and matrix picks because he briefly went into it a little more than just listing the title and director.
on a side note, this made me feel less shitty for liking battle royale so much.
