WrestleMania IV

The WWF made some of the most mystifying decisions in the wake of WrestleMania III. Setting this one in Trump Plaza cut down on attendance by almost 80%. The entire proceeding has that Donald Trump veneer where everything feels like plastic covered in gold spraypaint and semen. André and Hulk make glorified cameos while Randy Savage got worked to the bone. This WrestleMania has some good athleticism and characterization, but it almost feels like WWF tried on purpose to disappoint.

This was a very good pay per view. If you are a casual and looking at this you might give this a low rating. I thought the tournament matches were good. Stuff I didn't like was all the other useless matches and they fail to tell you why this tournament is taking place etc. Presentation is poor and while it does a better job I feel of the wrestlers coming from the entrance, I still think this was too long of a pay per view and should have just focused on the tournament.

Kind of painful, but Demolition wins the tag belts here so I'm more or less happy.

A few too many wonky finishes but one of my favorites wins the ultimate title so it's not all bad.
