Wise Guy: David Chase and the Sopranos

A must watch for Sopranos-heads. Part 1 spends too much time on the worst episode of the show: the pilot. After that, it becomes quite interesting if not a little self-congratulatory - word on the street is that conditions in the writing room were quite hellish and we only brush up against that. Chases speech at Gandolfini's funeral was absolutely the weirdest part. He's a fascinating guy, of course he is. If you create the Sopranos you're among the most defining artists of our time
