Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

There are times when it gets on a roll and there is clever wordplay and Titus/Kimmy aren't annoying. Carol Kane grew on me. Jane Krakowski basically went on a spinoff after the 2nd season. Catchy theme song. Fav scenes: Jon Hamm as The Reverend, especially since he was actually Ellie Kemper's acting teacher in 8th grade; Tina Fey rescues one of the seasons; fake DJ documentary; Kimmy's sexual harassment.

Could only get through three episodes. While not a terrible show, it's not good either.

Season 1 was fun. But the series goes downhill as it goes on and laughs get fewer and farther between. It's amusing and watchable, but it fails to be laugh out loud funny over time. By the end it feels a little heavy handed and like it's trying too hard.

Tried the first episode, it's slow, missing the quick fire exposition-joke structure of 30 Rock. And a bunch of the jokes from the YT 'best of' videos are in the first episode, which suggests it's downhill from there.

i love titus, titus is funny, titus is the best. some of the 'rich people are fucking weird' jokes are funny. the rest is just not that funny. points for mildly contagious optimism.

Uneven show which was at times phenomenal & excellent.

Got really into Season 1 and thought, here we go, another great sitcom, with seasons ahead. But Season 2 lost me. Worth sticking with pls?

s1 was okay, s2 is worse. the dense references to TV gets unbearable and the show can come off as theater of treating the protagonist badly

I don't think it's quite as good as it could have been, but it's still pretty fun

I mean, I think 30 Rock is a flawless entity of a show, so naturally this show, which its own concept but the same comedic rhythm, was gonna get top marks from me. But it's deserved. The cast is fantastic, especially Burgess, who deserved more Emmys than there were seasons as Titus Andromedon. The writing often slayed in the same vein as 30 Rock (and later, Great News, which fans of these two shows should check out). Now I'm just impatiently waiting for Fey's next project.

It's no 30 Rock, but it has the same mix of physical and absurd humor mixed with some laugh out loud ridiculousness.

Un umorismo sofisticato in equilibrio tra la satira sociale ed il nonsense, con una protagonista adorabile ed ottimi comprimari. Fin troppo immerso nella realtà del tempo però, se lo si guarda anche solo qualche anno dopo (come è capitato a me con l'ultima stagione) risulta datato. Inoltre manca quella continuity che farebbe davvero appassionare alle vicende, i personaggi fanno e disfano senza criterio (forse 4 stagioni sono troppe per un prodotto del genere). In ogni caso godibilissimo.

As a Tina Fey comedy it pales in comparison to 30 Rock, and the hype around the show does it no favours. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is quirky and moderately funny despite Tituss who is a horrid character. Watchable, if nothing else.

The premise is great and there are a lot of good ideas. Some of them are well implemented, some suffer. Still, is usually funny and entertaining.
