Hokey thriller is a pretty ripe and cheesy affair, but there's something inherently enjoyable about watching a movie which aims so low and knows it is aiming low. Lacks the absurd streak which distinguish the 'best' of this genre, though Hillis does his best to inject some style into his smarmily ingratiating character (and it's been a while between viewings, but I believe the first half cribs pretty liberally from SLIVER.) It is what it is, and passes the time agreeably enough.
