Inevitably stagy production is hurt by limitations imposed by 70s television mores and standards, but still serves as a fine actor's showcase for Seales, as well as Woodard in support. The play itself doesn't go into any particularly novel or compelling places, but still serves as a welcome reminder of the past, present (and probably future) problematic racial tensions, both U.S. based and around the world. Fun to see Jackson in an early role, donning black-face to chilling effect.
