TORTUROUS overacting, hilariously shabby accents, a failed pacing plan, historical falsification and a severe disinterest in the characters of the main story. Billy Howle's acting is something that in a fair universe would be a career-ending performance. A soulless Rahim, who i know has the chops, brings unexplicably little of the charm required to make his role believable. One positive quality of the show is the set and costume design, that oozes the 70s, but that goes for the pilot mostly.

Not the best execution. Has its lengths, the staccato time jump style is often unnerving, Jenna Coleman's overacting is a constant torture, and you can't help but roll your eyes at the exaggerated portrayed stupidity of the many victims, but the sheer breadth of this real-life story does leave something behind at the end.

Very interesting show but the flashbacks in very odd order detract alot from it. It also really loses momentum toward the later half

Really well acted, decently put together series. Mostly accurate to the source material, the only negative thing I can say is that the back and forths really get boring after a while. Even they stopped writing it every single time after some episodes, could've done with a bit less.

Clever storytelling, tense atmosphere, a surprisingly good miniseries about a serial killer who managed to become a celebrity in the 90s and was - luckily - forgotten by all later on.

This was incredible television. Binged watched over 4 days, we were gripped, not just by the story itself, but by the quite brilliant way it was fed to us over the course of 8 hours. By the heavy use of flashbacks, the tension and dread could be maintained over the entire running time, rather than using a more linear timeframe, where all the horrific "action" would have been "front loaded". On occasions, a little unbelievable and forced, but most of the time beautifully acted, filmed and edited
