The Resort

The first episode was watchable. From the second episode the story gets fire until the fifth, where I was thrilled. The story became awesome. Then the downfall came...

Its clever and unique and interesting. Its not great but it never fails to be working hard and I can appreciate that. I don't regret watching it, but I don't know if I would ever tell someone they had to see it.

7/29/22 take: CHIDI ANAGONYE BABY!!!!!!!!! William Jackson Harper is extraordinarily funny and I love this guy damn! His colorful socks were cute anyway this is not our topic. Despite Cristin Miloti's exaggerated performance, The Resort somehow manages to make you binge watch.. I actually like Miloti after all she was our missing mom from HIMYM but don't understand why she's overacting. It is impossible not to catch the similarities of The White Lotus and Only Murders in the Building

The White Lotus meets True Detective

A nice amalgam of Search Party and the White Lotus... initially. But then that grand ol' time rapidly turns into some real bullshit, culminating in a finale so grotesquely exasperating, that your eyes roll so far into your brain, all you're seeing is your own neurons weeping for having committed so much time and attention to something with an ending so bad, so, awfully, unforgivably bad.

Carried by good performances and weirdness.
