The Plot Against America

Incredible, powerful, and almost too effective at realistically paralleling alternate history with our modern-day reality to the point where I felt physically ill during a couple of sequences. It's a shame that this show almost certainly won't reach the people who need this message the most.

2 hours is enough for me. Mundane family and their mundane lives. Every other scene is: "I can't believe this Lindbergh guy! Can you believe this Lindbergh guy?" Another glacial show where nothing happens.

This series feels like it was written by a middle schooler. For the most part, we've all seen this story before. That aside, my biggest complaint is how unbearably slow this series plays out. I understand that some people will always want to see the parallels between modern politics and Nazi Germany. People just can't say no to alarmist Nazi drama. They also like to dismiss comments like this as missing the point or being the problem. No, I'm just tired of banal, hypothetical Hitler stories.

Superb, as usual from David Simon. Comparisons to modern day are obvious, but not too heavy handed.
