Short but sweet - other irritatingly long running series that started strong could take a cue from this!

A bit too rushed at times, especially towards the end, and the low production values don't do it any favors, but this is still an intriguing and enjoyable story. The mystery set up around the room and the objects follows enough rules to make sense, but also has enough freedom to go in any direction it wants to. Leaves me wanting more along these lines.

Apart from a finale that rushes through some of the most important reveals, I had a blast watching the Lost Room. The premise was surprisingly interesting and every new discovery adds to the mystery and fun factor. Very Twilight Zone-ish as well. Sure, the production values aren't super high and the acting isn't the best, but it's all about the mystery, baby.

The premise of the Room and Objects is quite appealing, and reminded me a lot of Stalker. The only weakness is that, like other SF-ish series such as "Lost" or "Heroes", the supernatural premise is actually easy to get on board with; what's alienating is the stuff that's supposed to be "normal" (plotting, characters, dialogue, etc) constantly reminding you that nothing you see would ever exist outside of TV-land. Still, the series is very enjoyable and never wears out its welcome.

Wacky as hell! and that's both fun and, at times, a bit too silly. While the plot seemed conjured out of a hat, the hook pulling you through is the mystery. Overall, it's worth checking out because it's so different and peculiar. But it's a mini-series which you'll be likely to either write off completely as a missed opportunity or, at best, shrug off and quickly forget about.

The Lost Room has a really interesting and original concept for a mini series to built upon and it develops nicely, without diverting and without sacrifing too much, in three segments.

The difference between an I and a Y are on display here as the channel that would eventually bring us a movie about a giant Gaelic bird terrorizing kids in a Winnebago actually manages to spin a decent yarn that, while somewhat batshit in spots, is, for the most part clever, well-conceived, and (gasp) decently acted. I was actually kind of disappointed to see it end (quite abruptly), as crazy religious cults seeking to speak with their creator ranks as my 7th favorite plot device of all time.

The acting ranges from passable to good, the production values are definite "made for TV" movie quality, some of the dialog is stilted and more than a few plot turns feel ham-fisted and forced. However the basic premise and main plot of the film is intriguing and incredibly well done. Thankfully it explains just enough to keep one interested but not so much that the film loses its captivating mystery. In spite of its flaws, this is still well worth watching.

Somewhat bloated sci-fi miniseries with some decent actors (Krause, Jacobsen, Bart) and some absolutely terrible ones (Pollak, Margulies, Christopher). The actual premise was intriguing, but wasn't sufficient to sustain 6 hours of plot. Also, as interesting as the plot may have been, the style and direction was bland enough to make much of the series fairly tedious to watch.

A lovely little retro supernatural/mystery-series. Quite enjoyable. Would be cool to see this be picked up again in the modern age of television and continued in some way, either with the original characters making a comeback or with a new set of characters.

A low budget Heroes season 1, the writing and respect for its quirky characters manages to make this an infectious and enjoyable short watch

Short-lived Sci-fi series with an interesting premise and a lot of potential; the story is decent, but it's all wrapped up in a hokey package. Still, it kept me invested, and by the end I was slightly disappointed that it wasn't taken further. It's clear they intended to do more with this, but one assumes it just failed to take off. Not without flaws, and pretty damn corny, but worth a watch if you haven't anything better to do; at six 40-minute episodes it's short and covers a lot of ground.

Looks cheap, amateurish (the screenplay, those lines, plain horrible). Everything goes fast but at the same time it's boring and disconnected because it looks random. It includes many unnecessary elements and characters/groups whose development is worse than poor, something that suggests me it was originally a longer TV-Series that was produced as a short miniseries.

The strongest element is the premise. In fact it's strong enough to carry the plot by itself for the most part and even to make it quite gripping at times. Pity, these times seem to be fairly rare, mainly due to very by-the-book execution. With the basic premise properly explored and with a more nuanced approach to execution it could just be something to write home about.

I had a blast watching this, these are all SCP objects. It covers my favorite subject matter. If you like this series, go visit this site: http://www.scp-wiki.net/ Interesting SCP's: SCP-294, SCP-1370, SCP-140. It take some time navigating the site and reading up, but you will not be disappointed.

The Lost Room rips open a world of great depth, then closes it before it goes shallow. It smartly makes use of its own rules in ways that might otherwise be seen as plot holes and oversights. It's not perfect; it's left disappointingly unwrapped and the love story was shoved in carelessly, but overall one of the more enjoyable TV experiences I've known

Very entertaining and interesting throughout all the episodes and it does not waste too much time with the not so interesting subplots. I wish it had explored more ideas though and it felt cheap that the protagonist just "knew" what he had to do towards the end, felt rushed.

Now here's a find: a Sc*-F* Channel Original Miniseries that actually works. More importantly, it's a modern fantasy concept that can be produced on a tv budget that works well. Plenty of well-developed, believable characters that are lent flesh well. Peter Krause is very convincing as both a tough, smart police detective and a caring father. If only they hadn't gone for that super-duper-annoying setup-for-a-TV-series ending

unique and so very intresting, such a strange idea that if made seriously was inevitably bound to succeed, and it does with flying colors. keeps you glued to the screen the entire length and the intricate function of "the objects" is utterly amazing.
