This reboot actually maintains the campy, annoyingly assimilationist/liberal charm of the original. Showrunner Marja-Lewis Ryan seems desperate to update the L Word's legacy, save it from Ilene Chaiken, and cater to the youth with everything from trans and non-white representation to storylines about sobriety. A fun time all around.
