The Hunting

Topical mini-series well served by its cast, but let down by its often too obvious writing - in its rush to commentate on misogyny and "slut-shaming", it tends to paint all of its characters as narrow archetypes (note the sneery overplaying by Roxburgh and Cusack). Hits enough potent points of importance to be worthwhile, with Reid especially good as a conflicted teacher (an intriguing thread involving the appropriateness of his relationships with his students is frustratingly left unexplored).
