The Great

Season one was (the) great. It should have been a miniseries. Further seasons make it a show about emotional trauma and trying to make toxic relationships work, which is absolutely not okay for a show targetting teenagers and young adults. Get out of your toxic relationship. I'm done after three seasons. Too bad, I liked season 1 a lot. Huzzah!

S1: Near. Fucking. Perfection.

Very amusing. Season 1.

I’ve decided to stop watching this to the second to last episode of S2 because I have a hunch that S2 finale will emotionally damage me as did the previous finale. I’m waiting for S3 until I finish S2. What I most love about the series is that there is no clear cut between enemy lines. There are multiple characters that have liaisons both ways and it’s deliciously entangled. Like in real life. A person can have two friends who don’t get along.

S1: 80 - S2: 90 - S3: 85

Very entertaining piece of revisionist debauchery. The performances are excellent by all, particularly Hoult who smashes it. S1: 84. S2: 88

Season 1 - 82 Season 2 - 86

Bahsedildiği kadar harika değil

S1 - 9.6/10. It’s not realism, but often surrealism & hyperrealism which makes it comedy/historic satire. S2 5/10 - lost the wit & became much too self-conscious when they brought on a new junior writer full time. Clung to shock humor & lectures. Made it to ep 5 before bailing, seeing that this writer had finished off the season. It’s a real GoT conclusion to a, beg your pardon, “great” show. The actors & art direction are unfailing, but couldn’t save the sloppy S2 script.

S1: 78, S2: 82

This was one of the most fun & interesting series I've seen since Game of Thrones. I laughed so many times, & Elle Fanning was an absolute delight. So many clever & interesting gags, people & situations. I salute the writers for their creativity. I really wanted a season 4 to continue the insanely good story. It's the height of stupidity that Hulu cancelled it and it pisses me off much like the cancellation of FireFly. Dear Hulu, Please fire whoever cancelled it.
