This short is a discussion of the absence of the "flying car" and the hypothetical question posed asking "what would you do to get a flying car?" Funny dialogue between characters leads up to a hilarious punch-line which ties it all together in a Kevin Smith trademark style. (youtube)

If you liked Clerks, you'll like this. Watch the version without a laugh track.

Incredibly bad. Smith actually puts in a laugh track. Did I just watch a sitcom or something? It also has those 2 unfunny guys in all his movies talking about yep, more unfunny stuff. Good job Kevin Smith, keep being below average!

I didn't hear any laugh track on the version I saw... PS. The Flying Car aired on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. I guess that's why you heard laughter in the background.

It starts out good and quickly becomes over written. Seems lazily put together overall.

Pretty entertaining. A nice showcase for Randal's character and how much he overthinks the societal implications of really dumb hypothetical scenarios.

Well-made, but the punchline is homophobia so nah.

For those complaining about the "laugh track" -- this originally aired during The Tonight Show, and the laughter you hear is from the audience.

i actually like smith's humour, but this is too exaggerated and badly directed. and the laugh track just makes it lame

Smith's style works much better for shorts than it does for full-length films.
