Tom Hiddleston is a great actor, but he picks questionable projects. Maybe I was just expecting more mystery than a pretty lady tempting everyone around her, but alas.

Wow to be honest I didn't expect that. I've been waiting months for The Essex Serpent just for Tom Hiddleston and Claire Danes. But this mini-series is so much more than that. Immense thriller and there is always a lively, effective and scary atmosphere. Cinematography is wonderful. It wouldn't be fair to say anything negative comment about The Essex Serpent as of the first 2 episodes. Let's wait for the next episodes. Seems like Apple TV+ strikes again. My rating may up or down later...
