Somewhat funny, especially in the first few minutes. But mostly pretty lame.

Harry Dean Stanton did a great job as Slim, a near deaf cowboy, who lost his hearing from a gun being fired too close to his ears. This short film is pretty strange, not the strangest film Lynch has released but it is basically a comedy aimed at making fun of the french. The French jokes in this movie crack me up especially the snail jokes and the way the french guy Pierre gets scared and shuffles his feet around. If you are looking for a good laugh with Lynch humor watch this.

Bizarre short that comes out somewhere between a throwaway Monty Python sketch and Twin Peaks' weirdest moments.

Completely ridiculous but ends up being pretty fun to watch.

Decently funny for the first ten minutes or so, then it drags and gets bizarre (and not in a good Lynchian way). Leaves me wondering what the hell the purpose of this was.

Painfully dull (and it's only 25 minutes long), annoyingly decadentic and overall it's so bad that it's depressing. 5 points for maybe 3 charmingly bizzare moments.

That David Lynch chose to make just this movie is far more odd than the fact he made any of his more well-known and purportedly bizarre major pictures. If this little comedy is not quite successful, it nevertheless manages to conjure a certain peculiar charm. Nice to hear Harry Dean Stanton sing.

Astonishingly terrible for David Lynch

At around half an hour it's STILL too long, it's never funny and incredibly sparse. Stanton did a decent job, but he didn't have much to work with here and Lynch writes such a bad script that it's nearly offensive.

Less successful Lynch comedy. Sound like he's got more fun than anybody in the audience. Harry Dean and Jack Nance did their best.

Overall funny but too slow of a delivery. If everything could be compressed more it'd be funnier, but then it wouldn't be Lynch.

Sometimes the oddest films can be life affirming. A sublime Lynchian short.

Just awful. Please God, don't ever again let David Lynch attempt to do comedy.
