The Continental: From the World of John Wick

Anytime mel gibson (yes, I intentionally didn't capitalise his name) was on screen all I could think was "Ew, he is getting paid for this. I hate it." There was no need to speed up the combat hits, it looked terrible. Any cg was awful.

I think this series started out strong, with some great action, and Mel Gibson making for a good villain, but episodes 2 and 3 bored me.

This year, the John Wick franchise has had both a long installment that is one of it’s strongest if not THE strongest, and an even longer one that’s one of its weakest. It’s not without its strengths, but it can’t help but feel like a disappointment.

Great soundtrack and very stylish. Well worth a watch.

Cliches abound and it is yet another "world building" series, but strangely somehow feels original. The action comes quickly, and the pacing works. Not artful, but I'd watch another like it.
