The Claremont Murders

Expansive telling of the WA crime saga can't justify its epic scale treatment – there’s an interesting thread here about the fallibility of profiling suspects in the interest of expediency, but Monjo and O’Brien’s teleplay never really analyses it, instead going for a largely rote telling. A so-so all-star Oz TV cast can’t give this the colourful cameos it needs to keep the momentum up, though Johnson leaves a strong impression as one of the suspects.
