The Bad Seed

For a directorial debut for Rob Lowe, it's a pretty solid effort. Mckenna Grace is a real talent, able to convey a lot of emotion while staying mysterious and threatening. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it is on the higher-end of Lifetime movies.

Good pacing, good acting, and a gripping story about a psychopath girl. While the outcome of some scenes were telegraphed, there were a few surprises along the way and the outcome of the story was uncertain. An outstanding directorial debut by Rob Lowe and performance by Mckenna Grace.

The ending rounds this one of well. Not good, but well.

Good actors, performances, writing and music. Sarah Dugdale was pretty. Having a daughter who is a psychopathic killer would be a parents worst nightmare. It was effective at showing the little girls disturbing disorder and her fathers distress. Despite her petite size she is a capable and ruthless killer without remorse. A scary premise and an interesting plot that was entertaining and worth watching to the end. Possibly the best lifetime movie I've seen.
