A group of animals have to leave their home, the Farthing Wood, which was destroyed by the people. They travel to the famous White Deer Park and want to make a new home there. Fox is their leader and Toad their guide. Also with them are Badger, a very old resident of the Farthing Wood, Owl, who is very wise and often helps them, and Mole, the little friend of Badger. Ah the traumas. :) This series has a higher body count than Game of Thrones. All episodes either start or end with one of the characters being killed (usually by human cruelty or negligence). Gorgeous opening theme song. Brings back all the memories of death and me crying my eyes out after watching an episode of yet another cute critter being hit by a car or shot by a hunter.
