Muscle man Gordon Scott had played Tarzan in a few films, and the producers decided to sculpt a Tarzan TV series around him. They made a few episodes, but all three networks rejected it, so they edited the three episodes they made into this movie. As a result, this movie is weirdly episodic and more than a little cheap with interior sets used as jungle and animal stock footage dropped in constantly. Is it terrible? No, not really.
