Standard-issue TV movie made palatable by (a) Louis Gossett Jr. giving his usual strong performance (b) Louis Gossett Jr. getting to appear in something more respectable than an Iron Eagle movie or a Rapture movie (c) a general willingness to get nastier than telefilms usually are, and (d) the fact that racism seems to be coming back into style here in the USA (as of today, 1/28/11), so antiracist parables don't seem quite as corny as they did when I was a boy
