Spider-Man: The New Animated Series

loved as a kid and think i misremembered the death being worse and then think i reremembered rewatching it and knowing that lool. order still weird. love the animation, theme. prefer the more collegey eps like the fangirl. the romance and friendships showed signs that they coulda been good with more planning and prob more seasons. the 2nd movie did a lot of the same things too lol

This show is weird in how it has really jank, awkward looking animation where the animators try to hide this with some really cool lighting and visual choices. The show also has surprisingly solid choreography on some episodes. On the other hand, the show has really juvenile attempts at "mature dialog" due to having a higher age rating for Spidey than usual and I just did not vibe with their lame OC villains and some of its heinously stupid plot beats.
