I was so incredibly bored through this entire story.

Boring episode, not exactly scary or even having any impact, most of the back story seems irrelevant (both the child and his relation with coworkers), despite having good oportunities due to the content the sound edition is plain good when it deserved better, and the ending is so absurd anatomically specially when he had the perfect tool lampshading all the time (needles), would have been great watching him using them... I don't know, overall not a satisfying episode.

With such sensitive ears, you should have heard the noises of your movie sucking.

The always good Chris Bauer did an excellent job of carrying this one, and the production quality was pretty high. The basic story has been done to death though. It added a little here and there, sure, and it has something to say but it's still A Tell-Tale Heart. Once you figure that out, you sleepwalk your way through it and call every curve ball and slider they throw before they throw it.

Thriller, yes. Horror, no. Well, except for the maggots. A modern take on the Tell-tale Heart...with more maggots.

Although I didn't think it was very good, it was short and very memorable.

So-so addition to the Masters of Horror series. The ending scenes are fairly horrifying, especially when you find out what the sound is.

Loved the shot of the fish staring up at Larry in terror!

Brad Anderson is not a person I think of as a director of horror, but he does weave a good plot, this is a poor example though. He does, however make a great portrayal of the symptoms of social anxiety, even though most must think such a thing is trivial. Those who have not experienced it would see this as a terribly underwhelming film, those who have, would only remember more meaningful fears.
