Starts out great and the first 4 seasons have this amazing cyclical structure where you can never guess what's going to happen. Unfortunately, they milked it too long and they ran out of ideas and the show becomes quite stale. Around the time they go to Ireland the show loses all focus and meaning. Ron Perlman is great in it and easily the highlight, sucks when they killed his ass.

It started so good. The first two seasons were highly entertaining TV that are absolutely worth watching. It then goes downhill fast. The irish season marks the beginning of the end, and the last few seasons are worth ignoring. I have immense amount of love for how this tv show started, and even more hatred for how it dragged out. Both one of the best and worst I've seen.

Great series but the last two seasons it's running out of steam. Especially the last season was rubbing me totally the wrong way.

Goeie serie. Kwaliteit verschilt per seizoen, maar in het geheel gewoon perfect. Muziek ook goed gekozen.

It starts really strong, with great characters, great music, a well-thought-out Shakespearean back-story, and an interesting setting. But, somewhere along the line, they have lost the thread of the story and it started to feel like: "Grand Theft Auto: Crazy Bikers Edition". The actors were too involved as executive producers; so a typical actor mistake of creating dramatic moments for the detriment of the overall story is abound here.Nevertheless, it is a watchable, entertaining series.

Sons has a lot of guns and violence but it also weaves a very intricate narrative and fills itself with three dimensional characters. It is a world of outlaws and unpredictability and the shows creative staff keeps the suprises coming one season after the next. A lot of people had mixed emotions about the ending but it was and still remains the only plausible ending for a man like Jax Teller. A great series through out.

Starts out great but sadly lose steam through the seasons and gets repetative. Katey Sagals role gets increasingly bigger which unfortunately ruins any redeeming things about the latter seasons.

First few seasons are great, so gets a good score on the merit of those.

Tiptoes more and more on the line between cool and ridiculous towards the end, but stays more on the right side of the line.

I watched the first two seasons. There was a lot to like early on, but they cocked it up with spotty writing. The moody, bad-ass, but ultimately sensitive leading man thing definitely doesn't work for me. "I beat people up, but then I read my dad's journal while staring at the sunset," blah. By the time I turned it off it had degenerated into "we're fighting these guys" five minutes later "now we're teamed up with them fighting someone else" five minutes later "ok, we're fighting them again."

Overlong and increasingly batshit crazy, the really good seasons are amazing and still make the series an overall watch.

Fuck me. Can you imagine being in any of these scenes with your matching jackets and not thinking, "What am I doing? I'm an adult."? If this turns out to be about institutionalised America becoming self aware, it might be worth sticking with, but I very much doubt it goes beyond soap opera.

The character development is awful for some characters - doing illogical (in the scope of their arc) things and it's irksome, namely Tara and Juice. In many ways the show feels archaic and naive. The side characters are often more interesting, the villains especially are top notch. You can't consistently root for or hate a specific person, because their morals and brutality constantly fluctuates. Which is good, all the best villains are complex. Seasons rated by preference: 5, 4, 1, 2, 3.

SOA is a shakespearean influenced biker show. It starts off strong with a great story and well written/acted characters. Unfortunately SOA by the end of the series becomes drawn out and tiresome. This show really needed a tighter story ark of 5 seasons. Instead it loses itself along the way a couple times (Seasons 3, 6, and especially 7) The final seasons are marred by extended episodes, drawn out confrontations, and a few too many musical montages often sung by Katey Sagal.

Awful soap, the only people I know who like this irl are straight, mid-life crisis age guys.

The quality is in that exact awkward and destructive spot where it's good enough to keep me watching, but also bad enough to make me regret watching it. I want my hours back.

While not the greatest TV show ever made, it might be my favorite one. It's campy, pulpy, cheesy - but manages to be awesome all the way through.

There are far worse shows out there, but my biggest irl pop culture judgment criteria is if you have clothing or worse tats involving SoA you are a dumb piece of shit. Same goes for Walter White/Heisenberg from BB.

Like many a show, started out strong and just kind of declined as it went along. Katey Sagal was really great, though, and I'm glad it sort of gave her career a new life.
