Based on the DVD compilation “The Big Chase” giving an indicative sampling of the series proper – as with the movies, this lacks the more clever and creative edge of the W&G shorts and movies, but this is has a lot of fun emulating the spirit of a very particular strain of British silent comedy (you could plug Shaun into a remake of THE PLANK without much translation) – it’s kind of delightful in its old fashioned, very simplistic way, with Shaun and his friends terrific comedy protagonists.
