Ronja, the Robber's Daughter

Does capture a lot of what's great about Astrid Lindgren's tale. You recognize the key turning-points, just like one do in the '84 movie and the current Netflix/Viaplay's generational updated adaptation. It's all nice and good, even if it never peaks. Best part was probable toward the end of the series when the old outlaw bosses finally have a wrestling match. My favorite part of the story, with the humble underground tolls, Huldretussene, was probable done the weakest here of the 3 versions.

This started out fun and whimsical but at the midway point it tries to get dramatic while still keeping its whimsical tone, but it failed.
