Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling

Rocko always has a little corner of my heart reserved for him (really it's a fold-out couch when he falls behind on his mortgage). His most recent stay is short, perhaps too short - many of its profound moments would have had more impactful beats even in 11-minute episodes, and montages play like several clearly planned episode ideas thrown in a Suck-o-Matic. But at least it gives us a modern moral on modern fandom, and feels rightly like the wistful sendoff this series always deserved.

I didn't cross paths with the original Rocko series when I was younger, so a lot of the in-jokes in this special was lost on me, but I couldn't help appreciate the comic chaos anyway.

Exactly what it needed to be to represent the series, decades after ending.

Could of been a nice little mini-season. Instead a short feature that is as on point as the original series was.
