Revolting Rhymes Part One

I had this book as a kid and I'd swear reading it takes less time than sitting through this thing (and there's a part 2? Yikes). It really feels interminable, the slick visual style doesn't capture the energy of Quentin Blake's original illustrations, and the few laughs are dealt out sparingly across a poorly paced 20-something minute run time.

Great story, dry humor, and fun for both adults and kids to watch.

Perfectly fine animation and storytelling. Not much more.

Passable animation, good writing. Not the most original concept, but the execution works.
