Pawn Stars drinking game: 1 drink every time Rick wheeze laughs at his own joke, 1 drink every time Chum Lee says something stupid, 1 drink every time the crotchety old man is a crotchety old man, 1 drink every time they super low ball something because "it's difficult to find a buyer and it takes up space in the shop", 1 shot for gratuitous shtick product placement. **Warning** These rules may induce vomiting, self-loathing, and alcohol poisoning after 2 episodes.

I tend to focus solely on Rick, because he's the only decent actor, and his breathing sounds like an old record starting up, which I'm very enchanted by. I hear tell the whole thing fell apart when someone brought in a dvd set of Pawn Stars, and they had to admit that it wasn't worth anything.

"How much do you want for it?" "One hundred thousand dollars" *sighs* *long pause* "Yeah most I can do is ten bucks."

Pawn Stars isn't a bad show when you get to learn the histories about the items. The problem really is everything else. So, best I can do is 44.

Would have been better if the guys actually didn't have to call in experts for every single item that walked through their doors.

Yes, it's scripted with the most mundane and soulless reality tv drama and comedy ever, yes the stars are all greedy, fat, and gross, but I'll be damned if as a history buff I can't sit down and binge it for 12 straight hours. Maybe that says a lot more about me than it does Pawn Stars.

The show's very existence somehow makes me laugh. The number of copycat shows this has spawned is incredible.

People getting ripped off by dudes who only ever sigh and treat their customers like they're beneath them. Not even the cool items can save this one because everyone's a jerk about everything.

The best part is the history lesson on items and the worst part is everything else.

Entertaining and at least they really seem to care and explain the things brought to them, only showing objects with some sort of cultural interest. Other shows like this are just people yelling, swearing... but Pawn Stars includes some facts, light history, and the scripted parts between the members are both short interludes and fun, instead of violent idiots filling the whole show. One of the very few Reality-TV shows I enjoy watching from time to time.

Not a huge fan of this genre but I really do like the fact that Rick is genuinely excited by some of the stuff that comes in and loves educating anyone who will listen on a myriad of different historical pieces.

If the Antiques Roadshow accepted new stuff and valuations were punctuated by poor sketches full of fat guys.
