Top tier sports doc. The events really play out like a Shakespearean tragedy, and Divac is such a likable figure that it's hard not to get weepy as he relates the story of war and death decimating a once-glorious friendship.

Well this is much more than a basketball documentary. I knew Divac, Drazen, the dream team of Yugoslavia. I had watched their legendary win against Russia in the finals on tv at the time. I knew about their career but I had no idea about their friendship and grudge, what kind of man they were, what they went through and how they have suffered. Sad story this is.

A pretty great basketball documentary. It's an incredibly tragic story where the division of a country also broke up two guys who were best friends. I didn't know much about this story as I was a bit young to follow politics, but it's incredibly interesting to look back on.

Certainly in the upper echelon of 30 for 30. Vlade is a great narrator, and the story they weave plays out interestingly. I think it might have been served with a little more context into the Yugoslavian conflict, but it's certainly hard to tell that story without having some bias - so I understand the brevity.

Thats was a sad story about how emperyalizm has negative effect on grift countries. And also promising story about sportmanship and friendship.. My country Turkey actually starts to get same troubles with early 90s Yugoslavia.. And ım also scares cuz of divison and civil war possibilities.

One of the better entries into the 30 for 30 series set against the traumatic events of the Yugoslavian civil war and the divide between two friends.

Another solid entry in the 30 For 30 series, Once Brothers utilizes the tried and true formula that made The Two Escobars such an interesting documentary, giving heart and politics equal attention.
