Every now and then it hits some high notes and it is as good as any sit-coms and there is good chemistry between the characters. But it has this underlying macho, patriarchal thing going (and the neverending "I pay the bills" charades, which is plain annoying). The writer, being the main character also created a certain favoritism structure to the story and Wayans is not a likable person (you hate him after a few seasons) and as this is a family sitcom, that does not help much with watchability.

Show was funny as hell. One of the best sitcoms in the last twenty years. Should have gone on a lot longer.

Is this special? Absolutely not, but this was so exagerated, so over the top that it became just my kind of humor and I loved every bit of it.
