An interesting and supremely entertaining take on the whole "superhero" phenomena, with likable characters and a variety of interesting powers. By smartly twisting together the tropes of American comic books and Japanese shonen, something familiar yet wholly refreshing is born. But where it really succeeds is that it never, ever forgets what it truly means to be someone's hero, and what kind of an inspirational effect that has on someone. Doesn't hurt that each season just keeps getting better.

This is ongoing so it's hard to score but right now I'm a big fan. Deep and extremely likeable cast (except Mineta) and the central theme of heroism as moral inspiration is a welcome change from the recent glut of Marvel bullshit. The first season has some pacing issues and way too many flashbacks but that mostly clears up in the second. The only superhero thing I care about right now.

Modern and less traditional version of Naruto. I like it. Likeable characters, simple but good story arcs.. Very special usefull and full of character girl/woman characters. Great emotional action. This is the new face of battle-shounens.

I dig the premise of the world being full of superheroes, but the main plot stars a bland and obnoxious shitlord of a protagonist with fairly trite supporting characters. There's hardly any suspense or excitement in the fights - Izuku either becomes One Punch Man or he doesn't and no one had a particularly interesting character arc either. A shame because the show had a lot of neat designs and cool super powers at its disposal.

I started watching anime to escape this exact kind of shallow, moralizing storytelling which plagued (and in a way still does) American superhero stories.

Couldn't get past the first few episodes of s1 because of how terribly this show writes women. Extremely uncomfortable. Unfortunately this was my introduction to anime and it ruined the entire genre for me for a few years.

I've loved this anime ever since I was 10. It's incredible, and the manga is better. Weird ass fandom, but trust me when I say this is a magnum opus.
