Murder in Three Acts

Yeah, maybe you should skip this one if you like Poirot movies.

Murder in Three Acts estreava há 35 anos na TV Americana. BORING. Box OP Agatha Christie Volume 3.

It's better-done in terms of story than the previous made-for-TV Ustinov Poirots, with a sunny locale and a sequence of events that's reasonably easy to make out. Unfortunately, it also features the addition of transphobic jokes, incredibly bad takes on mental illness, and most damningly of all, Tony Curtis in brownface. And yet, with all the changes and the modern-day-ification, we're still having little boys send telegrams and playing Happy Families with Egg.

Peter Ustinov plays Poirot in a bumbling mumbling kind of way similar to how Nigel Bruce played Dr. Watson. Due to Ustinov's performance the mystery felt more lighthearted, comedic, fun, and altogether less stuff than how some Poirot movie could get. Also Tony Curtis' over the top performance only added to the cheese factor.
