I wasn't expecting a Monster High movie to be so political. It's godawful though.

The second Monster High movie and the last 2D-animated one of the bunch. It tackles themes of identity, racism, and classism, doing so to varying degrees of effectiveness, & watching it now brings up some interesting parallels between the story and our actual modern culture where everybody has to fit themselves into a set of labels to feel represented. It's fun enough, and breezes by quickly at 46 minutes. Cleo & Ghoulia having a true heart to heart moment is the highlight.
