Made for Love

I've loved Cristin Milioti ever since her role in How I Met Your Mother, so I had to check this out. I thought it was a fun idea. Not every episode is a winner, but there's enough there that kept me watching every episode.

Surprisingly uninspired.

Does a bunch of stuff but none of it very well, except for the acting of Milioti and Romano, which is great and makes it an enjoyable binge. Shies away from getting close to any interesting philosophical questions, but then also doesn't hit any convincing notes with comedy or drama. Finale is disappointing.

Cristin Milioti is perfect in this lead role that blends sci-fi with both comedy and drama. It's oddly comedic at times thanks in large part to the dark themes present that lend themselves well to a satirical interpretation. Romano helps that atmosphere take shape and Magnussen is what keeps the dramatic tension elevated. It's an interesting premise with filled with a very interesting world of technology and deceit. Solid enough and not drawn out. Very well done series.

The ending of the 1st season makes the series worthwhile, but the journey is a slow burn that at points seems a little aimless or tedious, at least initially. Milioti is great.

A roller coaster of genre with sci-fi, satire, comedy, drama all mashed up into one crazy adventure. I initially felt the constant change of tone would be a gimmick but after a short while it actually feels like a part of the story.
