Highly entertaining documentary that I would honestly consider insightful as well. Louis may ask seemingly simple questions, that he obviously has an idea of the answer, but they're questions that hardly get asked, as you can see from the reactions of the interviewees. I do prefer Louis less aggressive persona he's adopted since his Weird Weekend pieces. Great stuff.

Some people view Theroux's interview style as "passive aggressive", because it's clear that he's a smart guy who understands more than he's usually letting on about what's going on. I view him as applying a slightly modified Socratic method to subjects you never expect to get asked things in such a way. He's talking to tough men who are used to tough interactions where everyone knows exactly what the score is, so Louis' style catches them completely off-guard.

Excellent prison doco. Theroux asks basic questions and makes a few succinct comments, but offers up most of the talking to the inmates and how they feel about their various sentences and how they get along in prison, and also fits in a few questions for the guards and how they relate to the inmates. I'm sure there's a hell of a lot more going on in the minds of these men, but Theroux seems to have gotten the most he could under a number of restraints.

It would go nicely as an extra to TV series Oz. Real American prison life is more or less what they show there.

Very interesting view on the prisoners' mentality. It has great dialogue and interviews: a must see.

Nothing funnier than listening to idiot human garbage prisoners start waxing poetic about life. If I were in prison they'd take my shoes immediately and use me as a loofah D:

This is excellent material with a fantastic reporter, but it's way too short :(

Much in the same as Louis Theroux's other docs this doesn't offer much insight into the subject that he's covering but it is pretty damn entertaining. This is one of the better ones in that regard and I enjoyed watching it, he just needed to get deeper into the subect matter.

Hans måde at være nådesløs pågående og ærlig i sine spørgsmål gør, at han får nådesløse og ærlige svar - fremragende
