Law & Order: UK

Excellent. It's got all the ingredients of the American original--most notably, the good writing (though the quality of the writing--and casting--fall off noticeably in the last couple of seasons), yet the rhythm of the show is completely different. It gives the audience credit for a longer attention span and a bit more intelligence than the original. And Ben Daniels is HOT.

Not familiar with the original, quite liked the format compared to other procedurals, cast didn't have enough weight to pull it off properly.
