Good show, a little cultural history of Italy, Naples in particular. I only know Italy through what I know from following soccer, so this was very enlightening. Kept my interest through every episode, through every season. An international show not to be missed.

Charming and colourful remembrance of childhood (shot beautifully through a glazed, romantic sheen) is arguably a little too insubstantial to support 8 hours of screen time, suffering whenever Elena is off-screen, while feeling very choppy and giving short shrift to some interesting story elements towards the end, but kept on track thanks to Mazzucco and Girace's fine performances and that beautiful cinematography that makes you feel like jumping through the screen!

Molto fedele al romanzo, bravi attori, scenografie e costumi perfetti. Certo il libro approfondisce di più molti aspetti, ma le atmosfere sono le stesse e già questo è notevole.
