Lake Placid: The Final Chapter

Yancy Butler and Robert Englund chew up every scene they're in. Elisabeth Röhm is by far the best part of this film, well that and the relatively fast pace.

Just terrible, yet consistently entertaining. Worse-than-average schlock-horror plot, with the de rigueur teenagers acting stupid, ultra-cheesy CGI effects, crocodiles that roar like lions and run almost as fast... it's all pretty hilarious. The script is awful, yet there are some fun wisecrack lines here and there, all given to Yancy Butler, who delivers them with true verve--she was not on screen NEARLY enough.

This is an awful movie, but it's the kind of garbage that's hard to turn off. The characters are all idiots, including the ones we're supposed to think are smart. It felt like the writers had no idea how young people really talk these days, so they just made the girls really catty and the guys say "bro" a lot. It was kind of interesting to see Robert Englund in it.

Finally solved all my unanswered questions.
