Kamen Rider Ex-Aid

This series executes a weird stylistic alchemy; it's got the most garish designs of an already garish franchise, yet the story is a serious medical soap opera with superhero elements. But somehow it all melds together like Indian cooking, contrasting spices harmonizing into a greater whole. It has a slow-burn storyline where the characters and plot have to develop to show how good they can be, but it's absolutely worth the journey. Plus, surprisingly strong takes on disability and capitalism.
