Like an episode of Scooby Doo where they tell you who did it at the beginning. What I have learnt about KISS: One of them is a nerd. One of them is a cat. All four of them are tits.

Paul Stanley has a laser eye that roofies women and then later it is a microphone of some sort and before all of this it acted as steps no come back I’m not a crackpot but whoever made this sure was.

One of those movies where you can't believe what you're seeing, and can't believe that you're sitting there watching it. Pretty high camp, actually. A guilty pleasure.

So bad it's good? Unfortunately, merely so bad it's crappy & boring. Naturally, the story makes no sense, the special effects are insulting and the band members can't act. Ace and Peter seem way to strung out for the task, Paul perhaps not enough. You'd think at least the concert scenes would bring a bit of lift to the proceedings, but you'd be wrong. By the way, how is it possible that a professional hard-rock drummer has the floppy arms of a 90-year old grandmother?

If you a fan of Kiss and have a sense of humor then this is the movie for you! if not this movie constantly doesnt make sense, has one of the worst scrips, story and acting I have ever seen. With a budget of 3 million dollars I wonder myself where did all the money get put into. But who cares in the end because its Kiss, the hottest band in the world!!

This movie is so badly written, so badly directed and the acting is horrible. Who cares...it's the hottest band in the world...KISS!

I had the rare opportunity to see this on 35mm, and I thought that it was better than its (awful) reputation. Sure, it's very goofy, like a live action Scooby Doo adventure with a bad script, "acting", and baffling choices (amulets, roaring Gene, etc.), but it all adds to the fun. And it has a real amusement park as the setting, the original KISS lineup and vintage concert material. Plus it has Anthony Zerba as a mad scientist and Brion James as a clueless cop. Not the worst way to spend 90mins.

How is it that, in a promotional vehicle for KISS, they don't show up until halfway thru? A big chunk of that first half is just watching people walk around Magic Mountain and ride rollercoasters and such, interspersed with tedious arguments. When KISS do show up, it becomes more interesting but also way more confusing.

There is a brief moment where a bunch of KISS robots have to fight the "real" KISS and I was never sure which was which because the band KISS makes the most soulless, lifeless, and automaton-like music of their era. Alas, a Scooby-Doo plot with KISS is both better than KISS's music but still boring and terrible.

Call it my guilty pleasure movie. The type of "So bad it's so good" movie that makes me laugh. Plus, it's KISS!

Movies of such abysmal merits are a welcome addition to my film habits. Sort of similar to the urge one gets once in a while to stop by some cheap food joint and stuff your face full of grease and fat.

If you're looking for an incredibly well-written film, this isn't it. But it is an incredibly fun film with some really awesome stock footage of KISS concerts from the 70s.
