Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous

Neither the characters nor the universe are compelling enough to make Camp Cretaceous work. The show keeps evoking the Williams' Jurassic Park theme as a cheap ploy to evoke nostalgia and good will, but the 1st season is set around the events of Jurassic World, achieving the opposite effect. At least it's better than Fallen Kingdom. S02 is better, more consistent, or at least no longer being upheld to the expectations of Jurassic Park.

Bumpy alone makes this great

A family-friendly riff on the franchise with solid plotting, good cliffhangers, characters worth caring (a bit) about and legitimately exciting action. (1 season)

It's very much a show targeted at kids, but there are still some good aspects to it. The dinosaurs are handled well, and the show doesn't shy away from some characters being killed (although most are extras) or being put in dangerous situations. In Season 3 they introduce what feels like the scariest dinosaur in the series, with an episode that goes well beyond what you're used to with this show in terms of suspense. EDIT: The ending was great.
