Kagome was annoying & there were plot holes, but it was also pretty adorable & the mythology was lovely.

Even when I was 14 and really getting into shitty animes like the Fate series and Bleach, I hated Inyuyasha. Between its vapid plot, annoying characters and really lame fight scenes, I just found no appeal in it. A shame; too, because a fantasy version of "feudal era Japan" (there really wasn't anything that connected it to the actual Sengoku era besides some passing mention of Nobunaga) is something I've always found appealing, especially in stuff like Sengoku Basara.
