Nice cast and vibe. And the showdown on ice in the final episode, a super fun MCU highlight rivaling the airport shenanigans in "Civil War", makes it tempting to overrate this.

1 of the better MCU series but that's not saying much. Watchable, but uneven. The first few episodes are best esp the one w/ the fantastic car chase & Steinfeld's great as Kate Bishop. But then Echo's thrown in here & she's not as interesting as the comic - although since she's a minority she's getting a series. Then D'onofrio's Kingpin shows up which is great, but he's quickly made to look ridiculous & both impossibly strong & lame. The Widow revenge storyline is both forced in & beyond stupid.

Despite being yet another Marvel off-shoot in which the title character only seem to be there to pass the ba(r)ton to a younger model, it's a quite charming and funny little side quest, with a Shane Black lite feel to it.

If this was dropped from the MCU canon, I don’t think anyone would be missing it. Doesn’t offer anything else besides handing the Hawkeye mantle to Kate, which almost could have been done off-screen and explained in the next movie by exposition (“Kate is my apprentice who helped me on a case. New she’s the new Hawkeye. Clint out.” That literally sums up the 5 hours in enough detail.)

One of the best projects Marvel has offered to date. It succeeds thanks to the street level characters and the handling of new characters. Hailee Steinfeld is superb and doesn't skip a beat of comedy and also nails the key dramatic moments. It's likable thanks to her dynamic with Clint. 6 episodes feels sort of short by the time it's all said and done but it adds new levels of intrigue to the vast landscape of the MCU moving forward. Absolutely loved it.

Better than expected, but still nothing special. Florence Pugh however was a fun side character.

As much as I love the comic run by Matt Fraction this is based on, the comic is the main reason this doesn't work, IMO. The show crams in so many references and stuff from the comic but like, it shouldn't. The Hawkeye family man in the MCU is completely different from the messy self-sabotaging loner in those comics. And so there is this weird disconnect. Florence Pugh is perfect though, gimme more Yelena, you cowards! Vera Farmiga was totally wasted though.

A mixed but enjoyable bag of episodes. The first two are mostly set-up with not a lot of Clint in them and at times, the new Hawkeye, Kate Bishop can feel a bit annoying and a bit in over her head. But episodes 3,4 and 5 are actually pretty great with creative (arrow-based!) action and poignant heartfelt moments between characters, especially Clint and Kate. The finale was a bit of a let down with awkward comedy and scenarios that felt like they should have played out differently.

Second weakest of the first four 2020s MCU series, though it's got its moments despite wild inconsistencies. The female lead is cuteismatic and delivers her stuff well, but is saddled with some of the most hit and miss quirky snappy detached dialogue in the franchise. Renner's fine. Dalton's arc in light of his Salamanca role is extremely funny, and the musical is great and would be the best credit scene in almost anything. Pleasantly surprised by the all to brief surprise appearance.

Probably my favorite and most consistent feeling Disney+ series so far. It's a fairly low stakes adventure, but that doesn't really bother me, as I think to tell good stories you need a mix of high and low stakes. It also felt very connected to overall story, but in a dealing with the past kind of way. I didn't really have much to complain about here other than some parts being a bit out of place feeling, but it wasn't anything too major.

Possibly the most human story this side of Endgame, Hawkeye succeeds in being a solid miniseries because of the great chemistry between Renner and Steinfeld. It lacks a bit in terms of stakes, and sometimes there's a few too many moving parts in the plot, but the way it depicts hearing loss is very compelling.

Another thumbs up to Marvel. Existing character gets some progression, new character gets introduced. I will happily watch a second series of Kate Bishop (and Yelena!)

I love Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, and there are some fun moments in this show. I don't think it was quite as good as some of the other shows Disney+ has put out in the MCU, but it was still a lot of fun, and things definitely ramped up to some great action by the end. I do also look forward to seeing more of Echo in the future.

"The best way to spread Christmas cheer is playing Hawkeye loud for all to hear". So fun! My favourite of the MCU TV shows so far! It was more Christmasy than most Christmas specials! Focus is all on the fun and humour. Florence Pugh was hysterical in the mac'n cheese scene, even though the dialogue she was given wasn't funny on its own. The musical was just the cherry on top.

The start is refreshingly lowkey and fun, but there is not enough here for 6 episodes, and the mystery is weak at best. I really like Renner, but Steinfeld can’t pull this off.

This didn't quite rise to the level I was hoping it would. I really enjoyed Jeremy Renner, and find Hawkeye the most endearing Avenger. I've been a fan of Steinfeld in the past, but she just does not have the charm required for this role. I blame the writers. Renner himself was great, and I liked seeing Pugh return, as she is a fun character. While D'Onofrio's appearance was a shocking surprise, he was also misused. Still, better than Falcon and Winter Soldier.

Starts off boring but eventually picks up when the show plays with Clint's characterization and the cute chemistry he has with Kate. Doesn't hit particularly hard anywhere and the payoff with Yelena is pretty weak, but I didn't find the viewing experience to be painful or dull at the very least.

It's a strong show. The characters are fantastic with Steinfeld being a perfect casting and Renner finally getting the screentime to really show off his chops as Hawkeye. There's also a great emotional depth here which has been missing from many of the other Marvel shows and contrasts nicely with the Christmastime aesthetic. Perhaps the finale could have wrapped things up more cleanly but overall it's quite good.

The last episode didn't live up to the potential of the first five (which has happened with a couple of these MCU mini-series). It also seems to be a bit watery compared to the large number of surprisingly good Hawkeye comics out there. But I don't care I still love the Hawkeyes and I loved this. A different point of view on the last episode: My daughter is really into the MCU and tends to like the female characters more. She was broken up about Natasha, but loved Kate and Yelena.

It doesn’t have the highs of WandaVision, but it’s arguably the most consistent Disney+ series from Marvel so far. The drama was actually pretty enjoyable to the point where the action was just a bonus. Lots of fun connections from other movies and shows of the franchise too. It’s not the most important part of the MCU, but it is one of the most fun entries.

Not getting as much hype as Wandavision etc. but I think it was better than Falcon and Winter Solder and really liked the leads chemistry , and the fun tie ins in the later episodes. If you are an MCU fan there should be plenty to enjoy.

This feels like just enough of a Christmas movie that I enjoyed that aspect of it. It was also a significantly better 'buddy action-comedy' than 'Falcon and Winter Soldier' ever ended up being. The scope was small enough that it made sense that Thor doesn't just come down and fling Kingpin into the sky.

Above expectations, with good casting and a breezy, pulpy feel. Let down by a pedestrian finale, that exposes some of the loose plotting, and the mauling of Kingpin. Likeable nonetheless.
