In the same vein as Nostalgia Critic, but for current movies. The comedy bits are hit and miss (mostly miss), and I don't always agree with the hosts, but whatever. It's still less obnoxious than NC.

Way more entertaining than any other review show out there right now, but the common-sense, highly judgmental approach that won them fame via their SW prequel reviews has glaring limits. Probably I would not like this gang without the gleeful Best of the Worst/Wheel of the Worst balancing out their (funny but wearying) slacker pissiness here.

It's way more watchable and less shrill than Nostalgia Critic, but its bag of tricks has become a bit too repetitive over time. Really, I think Mike's effusive love of Age of Ultron and Jurassic World this year kind of turned me off of it. He really thinks he's so far above the Star Wars prequel trilogy then loves those completely equally mediocre works?

The reviewers' increasing boredom with American blockbuster cinema makes for increasingly frustrating viewing. I wish they'd review more interesting stuff. There are only so many ways to say "it was fine, the dumb masses will like it".

Both movie-discussion and comedy are very hit and miss but it's all kinda charming and genuine.

I haven't really watched much of it, but compared to Mike's Plinkett reviews, I found this far less entertaining. Still, Mike seems like a pretty alright guy and I can't really hate him for this show since he does give genuine opinions which can be interesting to hear at times. At least I can call him a critic unlike his contemporaries elsewhere on the internet.

Their taste seems inconsistent to me.

I really liked the big Plinkett reviews, but wow I can't stand watching these guys just talk.

Humorous movie reviews with an overarching plot about two VCR repairmen scamming an ancient lovecraftian being who ALSO makes angry movie reviews sometimes.

I don't care for the comedy bits or the story (I can't put enough quotes around story so I won't even try). However, it is undeniable that Jay and Mike are two of the finest film critics of the internet era. Their ability to articulate their points while being informative, entertaining, and consistent are unrivaled on the platform and damn-near unmatched in traditional media. It's not at all hyperbole to say that they are quickly becoming the Siskel and Ebert of the YouTube generation.
